Gavin Cromwell has reported Stumptown on course for the Glenfarclas Cross County Handicap Chase at Cheltenham next month.
The Laverock gelding is clear favourite for the race after his victory over the obstacles in mid-December.
He is set to head back to Prestbury Park without another run, with the Grand National also on the agenda this spring.
“He’s in good form and on course for the Cross County Chase at Cheltenham,” said Cromwell at Punchestown yesterday.
“He’s also in the National and the plan is to do both.
“I’m happy with him and he’ll go straight to Cheltenham.”
