Pahlavi Harry is riding very, very well,. We've had three seconds and a third in our last five runners before today. We've had a lot of placed horses in the last 10 or 12 weeks. The seconditis is unreal! The only answer is winners. It does get in your head, but they are not doing anything wrong. You don't change anything and every day you go racing, you hope you will have a winner and they keep getting placed. That horse won here a year ago. That (Shark Hanlon Racing Club) was my big syndicate and a lot of the people are after leaving. In fairness, there's about 20 people stayed in and they have been rewarded. He loves it here. He's in at Fairyhouse again tomorrow and he might end up there. We'll see how he is in the morning because his ground is going to be gone very shortly. He got his ground today. Everything is running well for the quality of horse I have, I haven't got stars. The 0-100s are maybe more competitive than a 0-110. |

Mother Ship We are after having so many seconds in the last nine weeks and we had two or three winners. The mare before that was second. I said to some of the boys, 'maybe my seconds are going to stop'. I thought Paddy was very good there. He took his time and came out for the better ground jumping the last two. She is tough and it was great. She has been knocking on the door and going up in the handicap. I'm delighted to have a winner after all those seconds and thirds in the last nine weeks. They are running well, just I was finding it hard to get my head in front. It gets in your head and after a while you think should you be doing something different?. They are a great crowd (Give Me A Name Syndicate) - they are from Kerry, Kilkenny, and out the road. |
