Punchestown Wed, 14th Oct, 2026 Harpy Eagle It's only now he's starting to grow up. He's a big horse and I'd say he was probably a bit of a shell of a horse all along. I was disappointed with him up until the last couple of runs. I thought he was a lot better than what he was showing. He actually won well at the finish today. He had a lovely light weight, and he got a very good ride. I'd say he's a horse that wouldn't be one for real winter ground. He likes good ground. If it stays like this he'll probably continue on, otherwise he'll go on his holidays in the next month or that. It was a grand pot to win, and he is for sale as well.

Clonmel Thu, 1st Oct, 2026 Tullyveery Lad It might be only a claimer but for the owners it’s like winning a big race,. His days are nearly numbered, he’s ten and he’s not as good as he was. To get him to win another race is great. He’s been in the yard for years and anything he does from now on will be a bonus. I’m thrilled for the lads, it’s brilliant. He’s in at Tramore next Thursday and if he’s not claimed he’ll probably go there again. He was in for small money but he was meeting horses fairly wrong today on ratings. At the same time I was hoping he’d be thereabouts as he always runs his race.

Listowel Thu, 24th Sep, 2026 Game Point My nephew Paddy Cody rode him to win in a common canter the last day but couldn't do the weight today. He had a lovely low weight today but I told Sam (Ewing) to keep a squeeze on him today as she can be lairy. Sam said he was lairy the whole way around but I knew it would take a fair horse to go by him. He is well able to jump but when he doesn't concentrate, he can be sloppy. He has a big engine, is a very good horse and going forwards, hopefully he'll be a graded horse. He has the ability but getting him out of it is the thing.
