Thu, 2nd Jul, 2026  Danny rang asking for permission to ride the horse out wide as he had walked the track and said it was worth 20 to 30 lengths by keeping out. I think it suited the horse being ridden on his own as well, so he had a double benefit really. There was probably a false reading for today's result and it is the jockey who should get the (handicapper's) penalty!. Danny would have ridden a bit for me in the past and it is his first winner for me. C Byrnes

After race at Down Royal Fri, 29th Aug, 2025 (1st)  He always showed enough at home, but the first day he got sort of good to firm ground. He definitely wants that and it was lively here last year (runner-up). The watered good ground doesn't suit him at all - it has to be as quick as possible, his wind is not great. He is ground dependent. He did (rally well) and he had a light weight today, so that made a difference. C Byrnes
