The Emmet Mullins-trained gelding progressed well as he was upped in trip last season including when second over this distance at Haydock. His form tailed off at the end of that campaign and hopefully he’ll be refreshed after a summer break. Dad Sez showed a liking for a test of stamina when scoring easily at Kilbeggan, while Hi Ho Idaho is also proven over the trip having stayed on well behind Millstream Lady at Listowel last month.

He is a lovely horse who is improving with every run and after Clonmel, we said we'd aim for here as his owners from Kerry and Cork. Brian Quill, from Listowel, heads the partnership and they are great new owners who have bought a couple of horses. Benny Walsh recommended him after his point-to-points, said he'd win plenty of races, so I went off his word and thankfully it has worked out. I think he'll keep improving, we'll aim for Listowel and he'll make a nice chaser next year.

he is a fine big horse, he was always nice since he was younger but just has had a few problems. They have nursed him back and he had a lovely run in a bumper in Gowran the last day, where Aine Connolly gave him a beautiful ride and said he’d come on a lot from it. He had run in a point-to-point (in 2024) and had a lot of schooling done so we were hoping he’d run a good race. I’m not sure what they’ll do now as Josh is a seller but he’ll have no problem jumping fences too.
