Theflyingking filled the runner-up spot behind I’ll Sort That in the Grade 3 For Auction Novice Hurdle at Navan nearly a year ago but disappointed at odds-on on his only outings since.

he is a fine big horse, he was always nice since he was younger but just has had a few problems. They have nursed him back and he had a lovely run in a bumper in Gowran the last day, where Aine Connolly gave him a beautiful ride and said he’d come on a lot from it. He had run in a point-to-point (in 2024) and had a lot of schooling done so we were hoping he’d run a good race. I’m not sure what they’ll do now as Josh is a seller but he’ll have no problem jumping fences too.
