Formscan By Alan Magee - CORNELIENNE (4) was a useful sort on the Flat in France winning twice before purchased by current connections for 250,000 euro nearly two years ago. The daughter of Golden Horn has been lightly raced since but did show promise over hurdles last winter including when beating all bar Bambino Fever at Fairyhouse. This looks a good opportunity to open her jumping account. I Dont Really Care may pose the chief threat, although she is probably a bit flattered by the bare form of her fourth in a Limerick Listed race last time. Lennon Grove and Tintara are others to consider, while Cosmic Front won on the Flat in France but needs to improve on two hurdle runs this season to take a hand.

She is a quick mare, they sprinted today, and she has loads of gears and stayed going really well. It was a nice performance,. Derek had her for point-to-points, so thanks to him, as he recommended that we got her for the track and I'm delighted for the owners (Silverpark Racing Partnership). We might go straight over hurdles now, she jumps really well and I'd say she will settle better over hurdles as well.

Probably tomorrow evening we might go for a few drinks and celebrate, you’d have to celebrate your first winner anyway. A lot of things were in her favour today, the ground was good and it was a small field. Grace is a brilliant rider, she got the bit of luck in running and gave her a brilliant ride today. She’s a lovely mare, she just likes that good sod. I’m delighted for Grace, she’s a very hard working girl and a very capable rider. It’s her father Donal’s mare. She had a couple of good runs and a middling run in Galway on soft ground, we knew we could draw a line through that. Things went her way today, she got a bit of light and Grace just gave her a great ride. It’s her first winner and hopefully there are many more to come. I’d say she’ll be a nice mare for hurdles, over two-and-a-half miles, and fences as well. Please-God she’ll go on from this now and win another race or two.
