Formscan By Tom Weekes - ONEFORTHEDITCH finished second in last year’s renewal and should benefit from a recent reappearance run. An able hurdler, the selection is rated 18lb lower in this sphere and while she finished second last year, bumped into the progressive winner then. She made jumping errors at Galway last month so should improve from that effort, with today’s rider now claiming 5lb. Reappearing Courtbrack Boy bumped into a well-in winner on chase debut at Tramore last April and while he is a previous course winner, would prefer softer ground. Dontcavein ran nicely at Galway while Regards To Rose wasn’t beaten too far over hurdles at Killarney last month.

I’m always giving out that in the ‘100s’ every time she ran she was getting beat by lower ones, but she’s very consistent,. She should be left off for the winter, but she was in such good form you couldn’t. When she ran here the last day, she went on the soft ground so I said we’d come back at Christmas over two-miles-three (furlongs). Darragh O’Keeffe did a great job on her, but I wanted 7lb. I said to Calum that usually she’d be sitting and finding one or two too good, so to go on and go a gallop. I was looking at halfway and I said maybe I gave him the wrong instructions, but she’s tough. Her mother won here, Backinthere, and she was my first winner. I’ve very lucky owners, the Sheehans, and they’ve been great to me. I only have two to run on the track, this one and God Help Us, and both of them have won this year. Usually she gets her break, so I don’t know. Hopefully, there is a chase in her during the summer, but she deserved that.

It wasn’t before time that he got going, he won his maiden hurdle first time,. He had a good run in a bumper here as well, when he was second to one of Willie Mullins’ (Caman Eileen). I don’t know if he’ll run again tomorrow, we’ll see. It might be a bit soon. He’s a grand horse for the summer. He’s a smasher. It took us so long to get him right, he got a fall schooling after he won his maiden hurdle. There was lots of chiropracty. Mark Slevin did a great job, we fired his palate and tidied him up as best we could. He looks progressive now, even though he’s an eight-year-old. If we pulled him out tomorrow he could win again!. He’s way better over fences, he’s tricky over hurdles but he’s putting it together now.

She had been in to run at every abandoned meeting here and was then due to be left off but instead we went to Limerick on Tuesday where they watered and it rained. It turned into tacky ground but Riche Deegan (jockey) didn't murder her once she was beaten. I said to the owner that we'd bring her today and whatever happens, happens.
