Formscan By Gary Carson - This looks like a nice opportunity for ROKANAKO (7) to bag a win over hurdles. The Tirwanako gelding won a bumper for Eddie Power at Kilbeggan back in late May and has been placed in some decent winners’ contests since. He was well held on his last hurdles outing, at Listowel, but this doesn’t look as strong a race now. S T Hamo made little impression behind the impressive Skerry Hill at Down Royal five days ago but was placed in a couple of bumpers and is entitled to play a bigger role now. Highland Call wasn’t disgraced in a couple of better maiden hurdles in recent weeks and is another to consider off a nice low weight.

A hurdle for four and five years old only, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible and that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing (excluding Academy Hurdles and 3-y-o Junior N.H. Hurdles) other than one I.N.H. flat race or N.H. flat race value not more than #14,000 and that (A) have been purchased as a foal or yearling for #15,000 or less at a recognised N.H. Sale or as an unraced two, three or four year old for #30,000 or less at a recognised N.H. Sale OR (B) whose sire established one or more sales at a recognised N.H. Sale in the year of foaling with a median price of not more than #15,000
