A game victor at Lingfield on her penultimate start, the Aidan O'Brien-trained filly ran well for a long way before weakening late on in the Epsom classic earlier this month. Dropping back in trip here shouldn't be an issue and, the daughter of Wootton Bassett looks the one to beat. Course and distance winner Caught U Sleeping rates the main threat. Having disappointed initially this season, the Noel Meade-trained filly showed marked improvement on her first start over this distance here last month. La Fogata, who was runner-up to Caught U Sleeping on her penultimate start, again ran well when fourth at Navan recently.

We thought from the first time we got her that she was good. She is a little bit fizzy, and I was a bit afraid first time out that she might boil up a bit, but she didn’t at all. She was very relaxed. I said to Kevin O’Ryan (agent) that I needed a good jockey, and he said Dylan would ride her, but he might have to put up a 1lb over. I said the horse would win and he did the weight. With those sort of fillies you nearly have to go for a stakes race. Dylan was very positive about her after the race and said she pricked her ears when she hit the front and didn’t really know what was going on.

I expected that, to be honest. She had a nice run in Dundalk where she probably should have won, as she ran green and we decided to put her away for this race. I’d have been disappointed if she was beaten as she’s a nice filly. He got caught a bit further back than he wanted but was always going to win once she started rallying. I think she’s a nice filly and she’ll have stamina to stay a mile and maybe 1m2f. You could say she’d go for a Guineas trial but I think she’d be better at a mile. That seven furlongs is the least she wants and today’s (heavy) ground made the difference. The owners (Halley family) are sellers so I might not have her too long.
