Formscan By Tom Weekes - PIERRE GROSSE is a ten-race maiden who disappointed on a recent run but had previously finished second in the Ulster Derby, and likes soft ground. Although well held at Haydock, that was a smart handicap and previously was beaten only five lengths in another good handicap at Ascot in August. He now drops to a winnable maiden and holds Solness on their Curragh meeting in July. Smart chaser Solness was subsequently promoted to second-place in a race at Tramore in August. Mississippi Shine showed promise on Navan debut and should progress, while Fairylike needs to leave behind her recent Navan disappointment.
