Formscan By Tom Weekes - ESTRANGE is better suited by today’s fast ground that recent Oaks-winner Thundering On, and can score. The selection made a belated career debut in August 2024 and, last year, showed high-class ability in finishing second to Minnie Hawk and Kalpana in top-level races. Dropping in distance isn’t ideal but she could be ok at this trip and likes quick ground. Thundering On was the brilliant winner of the Oaks recently when benefitting from a patient ride and while she should continue to progress, has only ever raced on ground which has had an ease, which is a small concern. Red Letter seems ground-versatile and is perfectly suited by this trip, so should compete.
