THE TOMMY HEPPLE MEMORIAL HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 5) An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final half furlong, involving the winner Lightening Company (IRE), ridden by Andrew Mullen, Johnny Boom (IRE), placed second, ridden by Rossa Ryan, and Swinging London (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Connor Beasley.
The interference was found to be accidental as having gone for a legitimate gap, there was contact between Lightening Company (IRE) and Johnny Boom (IRE), causing the shoulder of Lightening Company (IRE) to be turned and result in Swinging London (IRE) becoming short of room and have to be taken back.
Following the race, Harry Davies reported that Princess Niyla (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
Gina Mangan reported that Suitcase Smith (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
