He's a tough, very genuine, game horse,. In his younger days he was a very immature horse so I gave him a lot of time and it all paid dividends. He loves to come from off the pace and he's very consistent. He ran very well in the Nasrullah (when third at Leopardstown), he was only beaten over a length. Ground-wise he's pretty versatile but he doesn't want extremes, he wouldn't handle very soft or very firm. The Northfields Handicap here on Champions Weekend will be his next race.

It wasn't the plan to be as handy but they went slow and he just jumped so quick. I think he is a good horse. He won very easy in the North. On his next run at Navan, the reins broke and he was never able to get into the race. Last time at Leopardstown, the stupid trainer ran him over too far! . I gelded him after that. The plan has always been to go jumping and he has schooled well. He is owned by a jumping man; his owner has Jeff Kidder. He is entered on Sunday in a three-year-old handicap and I'd say it's quite possible he could run.

He needs that trip and he needs a good gallop,. We thought we were a good thing coming up with all the rain, and then five minutes outside Sligo it was as dry as a bone!. Soft ground is the key to him and he just about got away with it today. It was too quick for him the last day in Gowran and he never got into the race. He's very tough and he will stay further. I'd say two miles might be his trip in the end. We have him schooled and the plan was to go three-year-old hurdling with him, but when he's still competitive on the Flat we'll stay that way with him. It's a bit easier and I'll try and hold off getting the jumps licence for another bit!
