Mags Mullins is considering a couple of options at the upcoming Cheltenham Festival for Blaze The Way who has already scored in the hands of her son Danny at the track this season.

The Getaway gelding has progressed well over fences this term and put in a career-best when landing the 3m2f Turners Handicap Chase at Cheltenham in December, staying on strongly from the last to beat L’Homme Presse by five lengths.

He subsequently struggled a bit on very testing ground at Naas when fifth behind Argento Boy in the Grade 3 Finlay Ford At Naas Novice Chase.

“We’re not quite sure where he’ll go yet, maybe the novice (National Hunt Chase) or the Ultima. We have a few weeks to go.

“It’s a help that he has won around there,” said the Goresbridge trainer.

Blaze The Way also holds an entry in the Randox Grand National and has been allotted 10st4lb for the Aintree highlight.
