Irish runners abroad: three horses to follow on Tuesday

There are 11 Irish contenders running in Britain on Tuesday afternoon with Gordon Elliott, Gerald Quinn and Stuart Crawford all taking multiple runners over to Ayr.
We’ve picked out three Irish-based runners with the strongest credentials on Tuesday including an each-way pick that might be capable of outrunning his odds.
1.10 Ayr - Conditional Jockeys' Handicap Hurdle (Div I) (Class 5) (4yo+ 0-105) - Millyupdahilly
The action kicks off at Ayr with a conditional handicap hurdle and there are a few reasons to think that Gerald Quinn’s mare, Millyupdahilly, can run well.
This daughter of Epaulette went close on the Flat for her former yard and, while she’s not managed to get competitive in a trio of maiden hurdle outings so far, a couple of those runs haven’t been devoid of promise.
She kicked off her hurdle career at Naas last season, finishing sixth in a mares’ maiden hurdle that was won by Gavin Cromwell’s mare Only By Night and that winner isn’t the only one who has boosted the form of that race in the interim.
The mare then went on to finish fifth in Brucio’s maiden hurdle win at Catterick, another piece of form that looks strong for that particular track.
This six-year-old didn’t show a great deal on her return at Sedgefield in December, but that was her first run in 11 months.
Expect her to come on for that run and, with a mark of just 89 to work with, there’s every chance she’ll be in the mix on handicap debut, particularly with the step up in trip a potential source of improvement.
2.40 Ayr - Maiden Hurdle (Class 4) (4yo+) - Pour Les Filles
Gordon Elliott appears to have found a really good opportunity for Pour Les Filles to gain a maiden hurdle success.
This son of Pour Moi followed up a point success with a Leopardstown bumper win a couple of seasons ago before losing his unbeaten record at Aintree at the end of the campaign.
However, that was a marked step up in class to Grade 2 company and he ran with credit to be only beaten four lengths.
He’s hit the frame in a trio of maiden hurdles on home soil since and was only beaten by a neck at Down Royal on last month’s return to action.
They are better races than the one he’s contesting here and, with the likelihood he’ll come on for his latest start and appreciate going back up in trip, he’s likely to be hard to beat.
4.20 Ayr - 3m Handicap Chase (Class 5) (5yo+ 0-100) - Le Grand Vert
There was plenty to like about Le Grand Vert’s stable debut when hitting the frame at Down Royal and there’s every chance he’s going to relish a return to his preferred three-mile trip here.
He was hampered when placing last time out, so the run is worth upgrading, particularly over that 2m4f trip and he still remains really well handicapped on his old form.
