Triumph Hurdle hero Tiger Roll is set to return to Cheltenham for Saturday's Masterson Holdings Hurdle.

A winner on his hurdling debut at Market Rasen on his sole appearance for Nigel Hawke, the four-year-old made an excellent start for Gordon Elliott when runner-up in the Grade One Spring Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown in February.

He went one better at the Cheltenham Festival, but ran the first disappointing race of his career when last seen in the major juvenile event at Punchestown in May.

Elliott has also entered last Sunday's Limerick winner Clarcam in Saturday's two-mile contest, but he will not be turning out quickly.

"I think Tiger Roll will run as long as the ground is not too soft, but Clarcam won't take part," said the trainer.

Tiger Roll and Clarcam are among eight entries after the race was reopened, with Robbie Hennessy's Space Ship another potential Irish challenger.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Calipto, a luckless fourth in the Triumph Hurdle when sent off favourite, is also in the mix.
