Cheltenham treble for King & Hutchinson

Batonnier gave Alan King and Wayne Hutchinson a Cheltenham treble in the Grade 2, Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle.

The 12-1 chance followed in the hoofprints of Grumeti and Bless The Wings earlier on the card and stepped up on recent fine second at the track on New Year's Day.

Forgotten Gold set a good pace at the head of affairs as Hutchinson moved his mount into a challenging position at the top of the hill.

The combination were travelling well turning for home as they drew level with Broadbackbob and a mistake at the last by that rival handed the advantage to Batonnier.

He kept on well up the hill to pull clear by three lengths from the 13/8 favourite with King's Secret Edge claiming third spot.
