Formscan By Tom Weekes - Veteran TYSON FURY would prefer a longer trip but is a capable performer on his day and now contests an ordinary claimer. The selection ended a long winless spell to score in February 2024 and while unsuccessful since then, has run well in some useful races and wasn’t beaten far behind the placed-horses over course-and-distance last month. Persian Bliss is rated 90 but finished a long way behind the selection in that February race, where he was slowly away and showed very little. Benavente might prove second-best, as he has fair recent form and is suited by this distance.

I suppose a little worry carrying that weight - it is hard to give away weight even though he is a very good horse. We love him and can't wait until he goes hurdling. He has been schooled and he jumps well. He doesn't want soft or heavy ground, so it could be spring or summer jumping. We wouldn't mind a day out in (Royal) Ascot with him on the Tuesday in the 2m4f handicap. We will probably run him in that for the owner.He'll stay on nice ground there. We think a bit of him, he has been rated that high since he was a three-year-old. He has a big profile and has run in a lot of big races, and he was unlucky to meet the horse (Elegant Man) the last day here. I'm delighted for my mum as she has been waiting for a good one since Make A Challenge. He's exciting.

I said 'get as far ahead of them as you can' and he did. I think he was 25 lengths in front at one stage. I was afraid she wouldn't hold on purely because if she saw another horse, she probably might change her mind. She was for sale yesterday or this morning at 100 pounds or 100 euro with a head collar. When asked how much the head-collar was worth, I told my friend this afternoon 95 euro!. If she hadn't won, I wasn't going to train her. She has caused me more thoughts up and down and inside out. In the end, it didn't matter because a winner is a winner. The fact that she has won, it is brilliant.
