Formscan By Gary Carson - There could be more to come from the lightly raced POURQUOI POI. He was a winner at Punchestown last October and ran a solid race when fifth off this mark when last seen at Thurles the following month. His win came on nice ground so he may prefer this sounder surface. Euro Maker ran well at a big price when chasing home Houndsworth at Cork earlier this month. That was a significant improvement on previous form and if he can repeat it he’ll be a big player. The Dancen Kid ran well when placed on his penultimate outing and wasn’t disgraced in Wexford last time. He’s another for the shortlist.

He’s a grand horse. We always liked him but he was a very weak horse,. David and Albert Broad recommended him to us, they bought him privately and told us he was a nice horse. I was looking for a horse for Paddy. We ran him a few times and then gave him a break. He’s just gotten stronger. He’ll be a much better chaser, I think, in time. He’s a lucky horse so far, I know he’s only won today. I wasn’t surprised he won, he shows us plenty. He’s young but we’ll definitely run him again. He does get a little bit worried and panicky so if there are any signs he's not doing well, we’ll pull the plug. I’d say he definitely won’t be running in January anyway.
