Permission was given for Boston Run (IRE), Studious (IRE), and Impartiality (GB) to all wear a red hood to the start.

Shortly after leaving the stalls Arbitration (IRE), placed sixth, shifted left-handed and bumped Stapleford Park (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Arbitration (IRE).

An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend involving IT’SNEVERJUSTONE, placed fifth, ridden by Richard Kingscote, and Law Degree (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Kirrane.

Kirrane was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to move left-handed towards the rail without being fully clear of It'sneverjustone (GB), causing Kingscote to take a slight check.

An enquiry was held to consider a further two incidents of interference entering the first bend involving Tactical Plan (GB), unplaced, ridden by David Nolan, Boston Run (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Pat Cosgrave, Hot To Dot (GB), unplaced, ridden by Connor Planas, Whizz By (GB), placed second, ridden by Alec Voikhanksy, Penfolds Grange (GB), placed third, ridden by Pierre-Louis Jamin and Popeye Doyle (FR), unplaced, ridden by Zak Wheatley.

In the first incident, Jamin was cautioned for careless riding as he edged left-handed going into the bend when not entirely clear of Tactical Plan (GB), resulting in that gelding being slightly hampered.

In the second incident, the interference was found to be accidental, in that when the pace steadied a hard-pulling Hot To Dot (GB) ran onto the heels of Whizz By (GB), when racing in restricted room to the inside of Popeye Doyle (FR) and shifted left causing Boston Run (IRE) to be severely hampered.

For some distance approaching and passing the 4-furlong marker, Law Degree (IRE), unplaced, was awkwardly placed inside the heels of Arbitration (IRE), placed sixth, which had edged slightly left- handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Arbitration (IRE).

Following the race, David Nolan, the rider of Tactical Plan (GB), unplaced, Sam James, the rider of Arbitration (IRE), placed sixth, and Connor Planas, the rider of Hot To Dot (GB), unplaced, all reported that their mounts ran too freely.
