Permission was given for Gloryous (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post, wearing a red hood; and for Day Of Grace (IRE), Princess Rascal (GB) and ROARIN’ SUCCESS to wear a red hood to post.
Aeolian (GB) wore earplugs throughout the race.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong, involving Concert Party (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Levey and Gloryous (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Carson.
The interference was found to be accidental as Concert Party (IRE) stepped quickly left-handed, causing Carson to take a check.
The performance of Majaz (GB), which started second favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Roger Varian could offer no explanation for the filly’s performance.
Following the race, William Carson reported that Gloryous (IRE), unplaced, ran too free; and Jason Watson reported that Mandana (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
