I thought he would need the run today and then somewhere in three weeks. He's a good horse, he should have won a Boodles. That was the worst day of my racing life the day he ran in Cheltenham in the Boodles. He got a leg injury, and he was off for a year and a-half. I didn't see that coming. Loves that ground and he's a good horse. He'll go over fences too during the summer.

The Raceday Stewards received a report from the IHRB Clerk Of The Scales that S. Coen rider of Whats New presented to weight out at 2lbs overweight, which had not been declared. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he did not have the time to loose the weight required. Andrew Slattery, trainer, confirmed that he was satisfied to allow S. Coen retain the ride. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. Coen was in breach of Rule 195(i)(c) & Rule 198(vii)(a) and having considered his record in this regard (third offence) they suspended him for 3 racedays.
