An enquiry was held to consider interference passing the winning post on the first circuit involving Forever Proud (GB), placed second, ridden by Sean Dylan Bowen; Adace (GB), unplaced, ridden by Kieran O’Neill; Damoiseau (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris and Kodebreaker (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jason Hart.
Connor Planas, the rider of My Brother Mike (IRE), placed fourth, was also interviewed but was found not to be involved.
Bowen was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed Forever Proud (GB) to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Adace (GB), which was crowded for room over a number of strides and in turn caused Morris to take a significant check on Damoiseau (IRE), resulting in that gelding losing its position and making contact with the hindquarters of Kodebreaker (IRE), unbalancing that runner as a result.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the first bend involving WE’RENOTREALLYHERE, unplaced, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck and My Brother Mike (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Connor Planas.
Clutterbuck was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he allowed WE’RENOTREALLYHERE to shift left-handed towards the rail when insufficiently clear causing My Brother Mike (IRE) to clip a heel and stumble.
Following the race, Laura Pearson reported that Storm Asset (GB), unplaced, hung right-handed and the Veterinary Officer reported that WE’RENOTREALLYHERE, unplaced, had been struck into on its left-hind.
