Permission was given for Seaplane (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Seaplane (GB), trained by Paul & Oliver Cole, ran without its declared tongue strap as it was unable to be fitted.
Passing the 2 furlong marker, the rider of Opportunity (GB), placed fourth, was forced to steady and switch his mount off the heels of Tycoon (GB), placed third, before making contact with Too Soon (GB), placed sixth, which resulted in the rider of Opportunity (GB) becoming severely unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Opportunity (GB).
Following the race, Oliver Cole reported that Seaplane (GB), unplaced, ran too free, after being forced to race without cover.
