Permission was given for How Impressive (IRE) to go early wearing a red hood to the start and to be mounted in the chute; for Primrose Path (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and to be mounted in the chute; for Megalithic (IRE) to be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider possible interference a furlong after the start involving How Impressive (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Stevie Donohoe and This Farh (GB), placed third, ridden by Connor Planas.
After interviewing the riders and viewing recordings of the incident, the Stewards were unable to determine if interference had occurred and therefore unable to apportion blame due to insufficient camera coverage.
Approximately 2 ½ furlongs out This Farh (GB), placed third, lugged slightly right-handed at the same time as Primrose Path (GB), placed fifth, shifted left-handed resulting in the rider of Gundogan (GB), unplaced, having to take a check.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placings of This Farh (GB) or Primrose Path (GB).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that How Impressive (IRE), unplaced, had lost both of its front shoes and further reported that Primrose Path (GB), placed fifth, had lost its right-fore shoe.
