The winner, Iftikhaar (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Yarmouth on 11 June 2025, where the gelding finished tenth of ten runners, beaten 17 ¾ lengths.
It was noted that the J R Jenkins could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Following the race, William Carver reported that C’EST ENCORE (GER), unplaced, hung badly right- handed and the Veterinary Officer reported that Pure Imagination (IRE), which was pulled up, finished lame on its left-hind.
