Killarney Fri, 21st Aug, 2026  Manton Bay I’m tried of him finishing second but he is a very, very good horse who is a little bit idle. Luke just said he coasted up to go and win well today, but felt he had enough done. He isn’t in any way rogueish though. I left him in the Cambridgeshire (€100,000, Tote-sponsored) for next week and while we’ll mull it over, I’d say he will probably run. There has been a few offers in for him from Hong Kong so we’ll see what happens, but at the moment the plan is the Cambridgeshire.

Tramore Sun, 16th Aug, 2026  Ina Mina Ina Mina had previously won here on the Flat by 15 lengths, so the course suits her. I thought she was well handicapped at Cork but I wasn’t sure about her form. She did it very well again today, so you’d be very happy with her. We’ll mix between hurdling and Flat for the summer now and it is great for the syndicate. There are 30 in it, we’ve had great luck together and we’ve won with most of our horses. It is a brilliant idea, the syndicate are patient and for handy money, they get a great kick out of it.

Galway Thu, 30th Jul, 2026  Faro Island Billy gave him a lovely ride, got a good position throughout the race and he picked up nicely. He had won previously at Gowran and while we always felt he wanted 1m4f, we didn't get our tactics right the last few times. We got him to relax today, took blinkers off and put the cheekpieces back on and everything worked. Unfortunately Jim (Nicholson) isn't here and while I was in the UK with him recently and we travelled home together on the same flight, he couldn't come due to work commitments. I told him to come, without me sounding too confident, so he'll probably be sorry to miss out. Jim is from outside Belfast, is steeped in racing through his association with Down Royal and the Tote, and is a very good owner.

He falls in a bracket now that there weren't very many opportunities for him, and this was the first one that presented itself, so we had to come. . Dylan gave him a super ride. I think the delay at the start (Starting Monday ran loose after getting out under the stalls) caused everyone to be a bit lethargic away, but he kept plugging on and when he came, he kept coming.

Dundalk Tue, 26th May, 2026  Jamestown We gave him a big chance in Haydock, I thought he had a big chance. The draw wasn't kind to him, but I still was looking forward to running him in Haydock. We rate him very highly. It wasn't ideal obviously going to Haydock, and coming home, and coming straight up here in this heat. It was a maiden and to be honest he needed a run at that stage anyway. He's done well today and we'll have a look. He is (a premier handicapper going forward), he could be a Britannia horse depending on his rating. We'll see where he lands, there's a few (races). He's a nice horse anyway, there's plenty of nice races for him.
