K. Callaghan, rider of Fancy Girl, trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount weakened quickly
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Barnahash Primrose trained by Jonathan Sweeney was lame on its right fore post race
The Raceday Stewards received a report from Mr. H.T. Hynes, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk of the Scales, regarding the fact that J.S. McGarvey, rider of Barnahash Primrose, weighed in at 1.1lbs overweight
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated he had a drink prior to riding in the race. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J.S. McGarvey was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his clean record they cautioned him on this occasion.
