The Raceday Stewards interviewed Mr M.J. Kenneally, rider of Messerschmitt, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that it was a misjudgement on his behalf. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Mr. M.J. Kenneally was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record in this regard they suspended him for five racedays

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Light Up The Dark (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal

The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident two furlongs from the finish involving Messerschmitt, ridden by Mr M.J. Kenneally, placed second, and Zanahiyr, ridden by Mr J.H. Williamson, placed first, where it appeared both horses went for the same gap and contact was made. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
