The Raceday Stewards interviewed Thomas Gibney, trainer of Must Be Obeyed, concerning the conduct of this horse who was unruly at the start and refused to line up. Thomas Gibney said his charge has always been difficult but that this was her last run as she is in foal. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards, using their powers under Rule 14(iii), suspended Must Be Obeyed from running for a period of 90 days. Mr. Justice Raymond Groarke recused himself from this enquiry.
