Plan comes good for Murphy
It’s nice to get a winner here. She's a filly we quite liked last year and she has been a bit disappointing. She has probably been getting her act together the last couple of times in handicaps. I think so (experience told) - just coming back into a maiden from a handicap, they can find a couple of lengths in this type of a race. It can come a little bit easier to them. She was a good third on the day (in Killarney), she has run two solid enough races the last days. Maybe she is improving a little bit. She stayed going and got to the line well - might get a little bit further. She was good on the day and hopefully there is another day in her. We'll see what the handicapper does.
Fad makes winning start for Flynn
I grew up with David Bean (joint owner), he taught me how to ride a horse so it is great to train a horse for him. John Geoghegan, in fairness, has done all the work with her. He's just not taking as many now. I was just a bit lucky today. She came home really strong and did it well. She'll stay a mile and a-quarter. I don't know about the pedigree, but I thought she wanted further at home. I wanted to run her in Naas, so I'm glad I didn't! She was a reserve and didn't get in!
Mulvany finds 'the secret' to Dinamine
He's in great form and we kind of have the secret to him now, so hopefully it will be onwards and upwards. That's what we were a little bit worried about, hitting the front. He's a good, honest, little horse and we have found the secret to him.
Keane doubles up on Artemis
That filly is not winning out of turn, she has promised to do that all summer. She has been second at least three times. A lovely filly as you can see. A weak finisher and it was nice to get the job done today. She deserves it. The track probably suits the likes of her. It is important for these fillies to tick the box. The job was to win with her. We will try and win with her again, but I'm nearly sure she is going to the sales.
Madness shows rivals clean pair of heels
Shane Foley is probably one of the best jockeys in Ireland, and brave, because this horse was taken out of the parade ring in Cork - I was very disappointed because we had a 10lb claimer on him. He's just a big baby, but I said to Shane that he's a typical one of mine, good out of the gates, give him a kick and I promise you this horse will win!. I'm so happy this horse won because he had a bad name this horse. He's a nice horse. The owner is over in Doncaster, lets hope they buy a few good ones!. I'll definitely keep him on the go, I might put him in the Legacy Stakes (Listed in Dundalk).
Delany celebrating again at Bellewstown as Escaping gives Keane treble
Quality double for Foley
She did things really nicely this evening. They jumped off and went a nice even gallop which suited her. I was a little bit concerned around the top bend as she wasn't just quite handling the track, but Shane said as soon as he got her out and he straightened up, she picked up really well. She ran on great, so I'd say this will probably be her minimum so there will be no harm in stepping up to a mile and six (furlongs).
Zanahiyr warms up for American National with Flat win
I thought it might be a bit sharp for him, but it was a good performance. He galloped to the line and Josh said it took him a while to pull him up. The further he went, the better he got. He'll go to the American Grand National now all being well.
