Having been checked by the Doctor at the start, Elliott was deemed fit to race.
Liamarty Dreams (GB), drawn 9, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
The rider, Sam James, reported that in doing so, the gelding missed the break and was slowly away as a result.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Count Palatine (IRE), ridden by Sean Kirrane and Quest For Fun (GB), placed second, ridden by David Allan.
Kirrane was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he failed to moderate the use of his whip because of the close proximity of Quest For Fun (GB) inside the final furlong, striking Allan twice with his whip.
