Limerick Wed, 10th Jun, 2026  Monvoe He has really turned the corner this year as he was a nightmare last year. He had been free and wasn't racing properly, but for some reason with a winter under his belt, he has come back a different horse and is racing properly. I think the faster the ground the better he is and even today, that ground is slower than he'd like. He is a fine big horse and you'd be thinking he can only improve further. Darren Dwyer bought him and fair play to him, as I'm lucky to have such a lovely horse. I entered him for a 1m1f €100,000 three-year-old handicap at the Curragh on Derby Day and he'll go there next.

Leopardstown Fri, 15th May, 2026  Monvoe I'm delighted with him. To be honest, I thought the 10lb for the last day might stop him. He was very disappointing last year. A lot of lads rode him and they didn't like him. For some reason, he's after turning the corner. He came back in this year and he probably got stronger. Even in Limerick, I wasn't too sure what to expect. The ground was probably a bit dead ,but he won well. Limerick just gave him that bit of confidence and the quicker ground today was always going to be in his favour. The quicker, the better for him. He's nice horse going forward and that'll do his confidence the world of good now, two nice wins in a row.

Curragh Sat, 28th Mar, 2026  Opalite I thought she’d run well, but I thought the ones with a few runs might do her for a bit of experience,. It’s great for Seamus, he bought her off us a month ago, we hoped she was a nice filly. He bought a few point-to-pointers off us before, they won a few races but didn’t work out, so it’s grand to sell him one now. I think it’s his first Flat horse. He met me at Navan in January and said he’d love to get a Flat filly, and I said ‘I have one for you’ and this is it. We like her and hopefully now she keeps going. We might look at a stakes race, something like the Polonia, although we could maybe take our time with her if we got a winners’ race somewhere. I’d say she probably is a stakes filly. She’s still a bit immature. We liked her last year at the back end, but we left her off and didn’t run her as she was a bit backward, and he said she’s still a little weak. We’ll let her tell us where we go.
