I thought I’d have won with him before now but I got it wrong the last day, we rode him too positively and he was too keen. He loved that ground and in or around that trip is ideal for him. He looks like a horse that will jump a fence: a big staying horse. It’s nice to win a race with him.

The Raceday Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Mickie Angel, placed first, as compared with its most recent run. Gavin Cromwell reported that his charge ran far too keen the last day over three miles and he settled much better today over the shorter trip. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted its contents
