Permission was given for Diddy Man (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
Having reviewed the start the Stewards were satisfied that Diddy Man (GB) had refused to race and was deemed to be a runner.
Entering the first bend, a free-running Ten Club (IRE), unplaced, shifted right-handed giving a significant bump to THE CARRIBEAN (IRE), unplaced, unbalancing that runner.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Diddy Man (GB), which had refused to race.
Thomas Faulkner was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also refused to race at Chepstow on 25 August 2025, Faulkner was informed that any future similar behaviour from Diddy Man (GB) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Ben Sanderson reported that Dragon God (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed; Jack Doughty reported that Dapper Gee Gee (GB), placed fifth, hung right-handed; Darragh Keenan reported that The Caribbean (IRE), unplaced, hung left-handed in the Straight A (GB)nd Ryan Kavanagh reported that Book Of Life (GB), placed third, hung left-handed in the straight.
