The Cheltenham Festival
The Cheltenham Festival is one of the most celebrated horse racing events in the world. Rich in history, it is where champions have battled it out for centuries to win some of the most coveted prizes of the National Hunt season.

The Cheltenham Festival is the showpiece of the National Hunt season. It is at Cheltenham races where the very best horses, trainers and jockeys go head to head and where champions are crowned. There are 28 races in total, seven on each day, and it comprises four championship races; the Champion Hurdle, the Champion Chase, the Stayers’ Hurdle and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

How do I get to the Cheltenham Festival?
Birmingham and Bristol are the nearest airports and are easily accessible to and from Cheltenham Racecourse. Those travelling to Cheltenham races by train will need to book a ticket to Cheltenham Spa which is the nearest train station. A bus runs regularly from the train station to the racecourse. If you travel by car, you can book car parking for £15 in advance.
