Advocate Fails To Make Pertemps Cut

Ante-post favourite Kings Advocate has failed to make the cut for tomorrow's Pertemps Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Tom Taaffe's six-year-old was as low 6-1 as with Ladbrokes for the three-mile race after turning in an eyecatching performance when finishing third at Leopardstown last time.

However, Kings Advocate missed the cut by one horse with Inching Closer, winner of the race in 2003, the last runner in the 24-strong field.
