Jumbo Rio takes opener at Leopardstown

Edward O'Grady and Andrew McNamara were back in the winner's enclosure when landing The Spring Juvenile Hurdle with the Patrick Wilmott owned Jumbo Rio .

O'Grady said afterwards, "The decision of the Punchestown Stewards was vindicated here today. He is a lovely horse and we only had him 4 weeks when he won at Punchestown. He doesn't know if he's improved or not but I hope he has. He is a speed horse and hopefully it's upwards from here and he will go The Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham next."

Boyle Sports have quoted Jumbio Rio 12/1 from 16/1 for The Triumph Hurdle.
