Listener Takes Gold Chance

Robert Alner has confirmed that The Listener will take his chance in this afternoon's totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The Dorset handler admitted he was concerned by the drying ground after walking the track yesterday.

However, a light overnight shower has convinced Alner to let his Lexus Chase winner tackle Kauto Star in the Festival feature.

'I've walked the track and it is fine for him so we definitely run,' said Alner.

'It's fine so he will take his chance.'
