Neon Wolf Goes for Neptune

Trainer Harry Fry has confirmed that the unbeaten Neon Wolf will run in the Neptune Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham rather than in Tuesday's opening race of the Festival.

The son of Vinnie Roe was in the care of Mags Mullins when winning his sole Point-to-Point start at Ballyragget before joining Fry.

Neon Wolf won his Bumper at Uttoxeter in December before switching to hurdles in January when he scored twice including landing a Grade 2 Novices' event at Haydock.

Fry now intends stepping Neon Wolf up in distance for the 2m5f contest on Wednesday.

American, another winning Irish Point-to-Pointer will miss the Festival due to unsuitable ground. The French Bred held entries in both the JT McNamara National Hunt Challenge Cup and the RSA Chase.
