Sizing to head for Champion Chase
Sizing Europe is to be aimed at the sportingbet.com Queen Mother Champion Chase after he was scratched from his two other entries at the Cheltenham Festival.
Henry de Bromhead's charge took the honours in the Arkle Trophy last March and will again bid for two-mile glory after he was taken out of the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Ryanair Chase.
"He's just in the Queen Mother now. He's been good, we're delighted with him and he's in great form," said De Bromhead.
"He looks well and he always comes to himself in the spring. He's going back to two miles, to what we know he's good at.
"Once we weren't able to conclude about him staying three miles when we didn't go for the King George after it was abandoned and then rescheduled we had to rethink.
"He's spot-on and we're really looking forward to it now."
The nine-year-old started the campaign over further and was runner-up to Kauto Star in the JNwine.com Champion Chase over three miles at Down Royal in November.
After missing the King George he did drop back to the minimum trip for the Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown two weeks ago when he was third to Golden Silver.
Sizing Europe is generally available at 14-1 for the Champion Chase on March 16th.
