Top Notch To Miss Cheltenham

Top Notch will not run in next week's Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival according to his trainer Nicky Henderson.

The horse which was a leading fancy for Thursday's race has not been pleasing connections in his recent work and has not been his 'usual perky self.'

The seven-year-old has run at the last three Cheltenham Festivals, finishing 2nd to stablemate Peace And Co in the 2015 Triumph Hurdle, fifth to Annie Power in the following year's Champion Hurlde and again filled the runner-up berth when chasing home Yorkhill in last season's JLT Chase.
