It was always going to develop into a bit of a sprint from the second last and luckily enough he met the last two spot on. I'm delighted with the manner that he did it in even at this stage of his career. He still has enough pace and he seems to have plenty of his old sparkle. I would imagine he would go for the Tied Cottage Chase at Punchestown and we'll see how we go from there. He deserves another crack at the Queen Mother Champion Chase. He looks better this season. His coat is better and he seems a better horse.

I'm thrilled to bits. He was very good today. They were never going hard enough for him. It's a great way to start him back and it's a relief to get that out of the way. We will keep him ticking over now until Leopardstown at Christmas which is the plan. He is really well in himself and his jumping was very slick today He will improve plenty for it.

That's fantastic. I'm delighted for everyone at home as he's had his fair share of little problems,. To come here after Cheltenham was a big ask and he was all guts today. They were slogging it out from a long way out. Barry said he felt the ground was a bit on the dead side.
C A Murphy
He'll go next for the Tied Cottage at Punchestown and then back to Cheltenham for the Champion Chase. Hopefully we can keep him ticking over between now and then,.
C A Murphy
It's more of a relief because of the ground as he's definitely better on good ground. It's not ideal running on ground as heavy as that but it's a case of getting a run into him. We have not done alot with him, just have him ticking over as he's best fresh. I'm delighted with the way he jumped, and feel he's growing up a bit and is stronger, more mature and settling better in his races. He'll go next for the Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas,.

I'm delighted with that performance, he's had his problems in the past but I think we've ironed them out now. We'll freshen him up and then it's on to Cheltenham, it's nice to be going over there on that back of that. He had treatment for ringbone on his off four and that seems to have done the trick. We probably shouldn't have sent him over the Tingle Creek I blame myself for that. His jumping was brilliant and we've done a lot of schooling with him at home.
C A Murphy
We'll either go to Sandown or the John Durkan next. We'll see how he comes out of the race. I'd of preferred not to run him on this sort of ground but there was nothing else for him and he needed more experience over fences. Ground will decide where we'll go next. I think he'll be a stone better on better ground.
C A Murphy
It's great to get him back on track, it was disappointing that he hit the deck the last twice but that spin over hurdles has got his confidence back and we'll go to Punchestown next for The Kerrygold Champion Chase.
C A Murphy
