He was second at Dundalk last night and again the week before and we said we'd run away today as he was in good form. We weren't too sure about the ground but he came out of the race well and ate up this morning so there was no reason not to run him,. We'll give him a two weeks break now and then pick out another race. He's had his own little problems so he won't jump hurdles.
Miss Ellmarie Holden
It set up lovely for him, they couldn't go quick enough for him there. He's won four times now (for me) and placed probably 10 (times) so he's a right old horse that we claimed 12 months or so ago. He's a good bit of fun for small money. He's in on Tuesday in Killarney for a handicap.
John James Feane
We were a little bit worried about the weight today but he won so we're happy. He was all out today so the handicapper can't be too hard on us. It's good, Orlagh has been a lucky owner.
John James Feane
That's the second winner for his owner Orlagh Reynolds whose partner James Mescall claimed him after his run at Dundalk in April. That's his second win and his he has also been second so he was well claimed. He was unlucky the last day and was drawn 12 today but was game when he got there. We'll find another handicap for him next.
John James Feane
I told him to drop him on the line so he was really riding to instructions. He's a bit of an old dodgepot!.
John James Feane
He was over-due a win. He was a bit unlucky a couple of times here,. I thought the surface here was a bit quick for him and he wasn't letting himself go. That probably proves me wrong though. He has been a bit keen and lit up. He was more relaxed today and Donnacha gave him a great ride.
M C Grassick
He's improving all the time and he'll continue to improve as he's learning to race and getting stronger all the time,. He's carrying those big weights well as he has a bit of size to him. I'm keen to get him on grass but the ground is no good for him at the moment.
M J Grassick
He didn't settle the last day and I felt going a stronger pace over seven furlongs would suit him. I'm keen to get him back on grass but there have been very few opportunities over this trip. Ground is the key to him as he needs good ground.
M J Grassick
The owner fancied him. He was to run here the last day but got balloted out. I didn't know if he'd handle the surface but the ground was too soft for him in the Curragh the last day. His run at Leopardstown before that was the first indication that he had ability. We might bring him back here now . if not we'll put him away for the year.
M J Grassick
