It was a long year last year when she wasn't just firing for us but the lads have kept the faith and we got it right this time thank God. We'll see how she comes out of this and go from there. She'd rather have the turf and Dundalk wouldn't be her ideal track.
Mrs Ann Mooney
I thought she was just beaten!. I was disappointed with her last week as I thought she’d be in the first three but she seemed to get tired in the last furlong then, so we decided to stick her in over seven furlongs and hope for the best and it seemed to suit her. She was stopping towards the line and just had enough to hang on. We’ll keep her in this grade and she might get a bit of a rest now as she’s after running two weeks in a row; I don’t want to sour her as she’s an old mare and she’s a bit difficult but is a hardy devil. She’s been on the go all year and has been running consistently.

I didn't think she'd see it out. I thought a mile might stretch her. She broke well and he gave her a good old spin. I had no-one to ride at a quarter to twelve yesterday and he rung up so it was worth the phone call for him. I thought she was in good form and would take a bit of beating. She's locally owned in Duleek and I'm delighted she won for them. She's a hardy mare and tough out. She stuck at it well there and I'm delighted. We'll keep her in that bracket as long as the handicapper allows.
Patrick Mooney
she was a bit unlucky the last day at Naas, and the cut in the ground suited her. She got a good old drive from Michael. She looks like she is coming in season but she got the job done. She won four times in England, and is getting back to that form. She's entered in Bellewstown on Friday but that will come too quick. I think she will get seven furlongs somewhere like Roscommon.
