Charlie Swan was in the winners enclosure this evening after he won The Kiltoom Handicap Chase with On The Other Hand with David Casey doing the steering in the familiar colours of JP McManus. Mon 29th Sep

He lost his confidence over fences but he'd always been working well. He needs good ground and he is in a flat handicap at Ballinrobe on Sunday but he might not get in there. The dam won four races for my father, all under lady pilots.

The last time this horse ran over fences he broke his shoulder but thanks to John Halley and Gerry Kelly our two vets they did a great job to get him back. He doesn't like soft ground so that will dictate as to where we go next with him.
