One bad day for the books – 4 from 5 for the favs
The form of One Fine Day's Listowel maiden win has worked out in the interim with victories for the second and third Romantic Stroll and Custom Cut. For those that made One Fine Day the 5/4 favourite for the "Frank And Walters" Handicap at Leopardstown there was a brief spell when it looked like she mightn't be up to it but she ultimately prevailed by half a length from Suehail. Romantic Stroll is too much for Circle
Newcomer Circle and the four times previously tried Romantic Stroll (2/1 into 13/8) engaged in a great duel up the straight at Leopardstown in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden and it was hardly surprising given the testing conditions that the latter would tough it out best to score by a neck. Coin Of Courage shows improvement
From last to first, that’s the story with Coin Of Courage. He was last of seven behind Macbeth at Gowran Park on 12th April, but first of 18 runners today at Navan. Sun 20th May
It's the ground, it's as simple as that. She ran a blinder on her first start over hurdles at Christmas when the ground was half decent. Last time out her jumping was appalling, she just couldn't get out of the ground. We'll take on the best of them now at Punchestown where she will go for the Grade (1AES Champion Four Year Old Hurdle on April 27th).
Mrs John Harrington
It was a good performance with nine stone eleven. They went steady and it turned into a bit of a sprint but she battled well. She's learning and she might go for the fillies handicap on Derby weekend.
