< Bayan s victory in the Listowel Races Supporters Club Lartigue Hurdle was the highlight of a double at the County Kerry venue for Gordon Elliott.

The 5-1 favourite was on a hat-trick over obstacles after a couple of successful trips to Perth, and he slipped through on the inside to take closer order before the turn for home.

He was challenged by One Fine Day at the last but landed running after a slicker leap, and he then held the late thrust of top-weight Call Me Bubbles by a length and a quarter.< Toner D'Oudairies kicked Elliott's brace off when successfully conceding weight all round in the John F. McGuire Novice Chase.

The 7-1 chance jumped into the lead alongside market leader Sizing Symphony at the second-last and responded to all of Davy Russell's urgings to score by a length and a half from the rallying Ancient Days < Shining Emerald (6-4) destroyed the opposition in the Jet O'Carroll Memorial EBF Maiden.

Despite finishing third to Group One winner Sudirman on his previous outing, Paul Deegan's colt still had to share favouritism with Masai but Chris Hayes always had him in a prominent position and he quickened smartly to beat Homeric Hymn by 16 lengths.< Lanyard (4-1) is another with a bright future, judging by her successful debut in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden, in which she accelerated between horses before scoring eased down by five lengths from Princess Pearlita < Captain May (8-1) made every post a winning one in the Brandon Hotel Handicap, while 12-1 shot Romantic Stroll was another to benefit from positive tactics, with Wayne Lordan kicking her into a clear advantage a couple of furlongs from home in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap and she kept going to hold Surreal three lengths at bay.
