The final race on the card at Punchestown this afternoon, the Dick Grainger Memorial Bumper, went to Make A Track providing his trainer Willie Mullins with his fourth winner of the afternoon and his twelfth since Wednesday. Sun 20th Nov
He jumps and gallops. We dropped him back to two miles at Navan the last day and he ran well behind Don Cossack but looking at that performance I wonder why I dropped him back as he really wants further again. He is a massive hose and is a real stayer and one to look forward to over fences. I would imagine he will go for a novice over 2m 4f plus now and I wouldn't be rushing to run him on fast ground.
Henry De Bromhead
that was great, we have always liked him and we thought his first run was very good , but he just got a bit tired on the turn-in at Punchestown. We were hoping he would improve but he is a big scopey chaser so we backed off him after his debut and brought him back. I'm delighted he got a great ride from Davey - he is super for his 5lbs claim and any time we fancy one he does the job. The sensible option is to put Sizing Gold out in a field now but we'll see.
Henry De Bromhead
